Tobogganing, or sledding, is a great alternative to Alpine skiing, especially for the days when you want to avoid cueing at the lifts or when you want to get away from the crowded slopes. The days when only children went sledding are long gone – tobogganing is very trendy for all ages today! You will find Zillertal's longest natural sledding run at Gerlosstein.
Cross-country skiing brings movement into your life! It is one of our healthiest winter sports, because cross-country skiing challenges all the muscle groups in our bodies, while we get to enjoy the beauty of snow-covered Alpine landscape. There are plenty of cross-country runs with great snow conditions in Mayrhofen with a total length of about 30 kilometers.
You may wish skiing in more than only one skiing area. With the “Zillertaler Superskipass” ticket you can use from the second day on all cable cars and lift facilities throughout the “Zillertal” Valley. The local skiing areas include 177 lift facilities and 489 kilometres of ski slopes.
The glacier ski tour comprises 72 kilometres of descents. The total ascent and descent is 15,000 metres. At the highest point at an altitude of 3,250 metres you can savour wide views over the glacier. “Schwarze Pfanne” ski slope, having a length of 7 kilometres, provides the opportunity to test your physical fitness.
