A glance back in history

two Top locations in MAyrhofen

The ElisabethHotel is the partner hotel of Alpendomizil Neuhaus in Mayrhofen, and the properties are located just a few hundred meters apart from each other. This was a working farm consisting of a farmhouse and an inn long before the two buildings were turned into hotels. The farm, and also the inn, went by the name of "Neuhaus", and the post office was also located here. In these days, the inn was Mayrhofen's communication center, and it stayed that way into the mid 19th century when Alpinism became popular and thereby tourists started to visit the village. Mayrhofen's first cable car lift was built in 1955, and the inn was turned into a comfortable hotel. But one thing has remained the same through all the years at both "Neuhaus" and ElisabethHotel: The warm hospitality and that the guest is always at the center.

Der Almabtriebe im Zillertal - ElisabethHotel

All countries need agriculture

There is a long tradition of farming in the Zillertal valley, and the farms have in turn shaped the landscape. Wide range land stretches up to the mountainous regions and lush high altitude meadows. The Moigg family is also working hard to maintain the farming practices and traditions. It was after all the "Neuhaus" farm that was the base for the successful step into the hotel business. Our guests also profit from the fact that this farm still operates, in the form of fresh produce, tender beef, pork and veal.

Fishing for ElisabethHotel's guests

Fly fishing, not only for locals: The Moigg family owns the fishing rights in the Stillupptal, parts of Ziller and Zemmtal valleys. Our guests simply get the guest fishing card at the ElisabethHotel, and let the "fly" fly... Then bring your catch home to the hotel and let our kitchen prepare it for a perfect dinner feast. But no worries, also guests who are not into wading the brooks of Zillertal valley in rubber boots get to enjoy freshly caught trout. Because fresh fish from the crystal clear Alpine waters are very healthy and tasty.

Constructing a new dream hotel...

one brick closer every day

The new ElisabethHotel was planned in every detail before we began construction. Every angle and every window has a purpose – to create an environemnt where our guests can feel welcome, relaxed and at ease.
The construction cam shows the view from the main house toward the new wing. The film shows one image per per day.
